Steel Pulse, one of reggae's most influential voices for over five decades, has announced their 'Reggae Against Racism' World Tour 2026. The tour aims to harness the enduring power of roots reggae as a tool for social activism, echoing their long-standing stance against oppression and discrimination. This global series will take the band across Europe, North America, Africa, Asia, and Latin America, spotlighting their classic anthems alongside new material that addresses contemporary struggles for justice.

Frontman David Hinds emphasized the importance of music as a vehicle for change. According to Steel Pulse Launches 'Reggae Against Racism' Wor, he pointed out that reggae, unlike the pop landscape that has shifted away from rebellion, remains rooted in fighting injustice. The tour also pays homage to the mid-1970s UK 'Rock Against Racism' movement, which Steel Pulse helped pioneer by bringing diverse musicians together to confront rising far-right extremism through solidarity and music. Their involvement in that movement set a precedent for their current efforts, blending activism with their musical legacy.

The tour will feature a mix of historic hits and fresh compositions tackling today’s social issues. Special collaborations with local artists and activists are planned in select cities, along with community dialogues and cultural events aimed at fostering unity and awareness. The schedule kicks off in Germany with five consecutive shows during April, including dates in Köln, München, Berlin, Dortmund, and Hamburg, all part of an Easter special alongside artists like Alborosie and Hempress Sativa.

Their summer schedule also includes stops at events like the Marin County Fair and High Sierra Music Festival, with further shows across the U.S. through July and August. The tour continues into France, the Netherlands, and Canada, highlighting Steel Pulse's global reach and ongoing commitment to social justice.

This tour not only revives their classic anthems but also introduces new music that speaks to current global injustices. Their performances often include collaborations with local artists, community dialogues, and cultural exchanges that amplify their message of unity and resistance. Steel Pulse’s activism and music remain as relevant as ever in a world grappling with rising division, underlining their role as reggae’s enduring voice for justice.
