D’Yani’s debut album, Live Life & Prosper, draws on love, gratitude, perseverance and faith. Built with producer Remus of XTM.Nation, the project follows a Jamaican artist stepping into a fuller version of his voice.

D’Yani’s debut album, Live Life & Prosper, is less a victory lap than a record of becoming. Across its reggae, gospel, ska and soul touches, the Jamaican singer weighs the lessons that shaped him against the pressure to keep moving forward. The album was made with producer Remus of XTM.Nation and brings together collaborations with Jamaican musicians and vocalists. Its central feeling is grounded rather than grand: growth takes time, faith has to be lived, and gratitude matters even when the road is rough.
The album’s lead single, “Journey,” gives that outlook its clearest musical form. Released in June, the song looks at life’s setbacks and progress without treating either as the whole story. D’Yani frames the road itself as the source of motivation, with music serving both as a creative calling and a spiritual outlet. The track carries a soulful, Sunday-morning atmosphere, helped by gospel choir elements, while its message stays close to reggae’s familiar encouragement to keep trodding when the destination remains out of sight.
In the interview behind the project, D’Yani points to his grandmother and mother as important forces in his musical and spiritual development. His grandmother’s love of gospel music and repeated emphasis on life’s journey helped shape “Journey,” even though D’Yani says he is not a regular churchgoer. That influence lands in the song’s devotional texture rather than in heavy-handed preaching. The result is a track where faith feels inherited, personal and practical—something that helps him recognize the value of the present instead of waiting for a finish line.

“Live A Little” shows another side of the album’s path from idea to finished song. D’Yani first wrote it as a poem, one of several pieces he had been developing, before Remus selected it and helped turn the writing into a recording. Released in 2023, the song became one of his biggest hits and carries the project’s most direct argument for purpose and joy. Its optimism is not detached from struggle; it sounds like a decision to make room for life after learning how easily time can pass.
Taken together, Live Life & Prosper presents D’Yani as an artist drawing strength from experience rather than chasing a single stylistic lane. Contemporary reggae provides the foundation, while spiritual writing, ska colour and soulful arrangements widen the frame. The album’s themes—staying true to oneself, enduring difficulty and giving thanks—come from the same personal ground as its songs. For D’Yani, the debut is a marker of maturity, but also an invitation: keep faith with your own road, find meaning in the process and live with intention along the way.
